Learning outcomes

  • Define the population

Draw clear boundaries around wires, sweeps, collateral, and FX settlements before sampling.

  • Age exceptions with intent

Apply triage rules that separate noise from items that need a named owner and deadline.

  • Assemble evidence packs

Structure screenshots, confirmations, and narratives so a cold reader can follow your path.

  • Brief leadership

Deliver a ten-minute walkthrough that states residual risk without apologizing for uncertainty.

Modules

  1. Activity taxonomy for treasury desks

Classify movements, map them to control objectives, and load a sample extract into the course app.

  2. Sampling without false comfort

Design samples that answer a question; document why items were excluded.

  3. Exception aging & ownership

Build aging buckets, escalation paths, and note standards that survive rotation of staff.

  4. Bank & custodian confirmations

Tie confirmations to ledger lines and capture mismatches without burying them in email.

  5. FX and liquidity edge cases

Handle cutoff disputes, value-date shifts, and bilingual narratives common in Korea desks.

  6. Walkthrough rehearsal

Present your pack to a mentor playing the role of external auditor; revise under time pressure.

Reviews of this course

“Module 3’s aging lab made our Slack channel quieter—oddly the best compliment I can give. I still want more custodian file samples for Korea brokers.”
Ji-woo K., treasury analyst
“Walkthrough rehearsal was uncomfortable in a useful way. Seo-yeon’s comments on my FX narrative were blunt and correct.”

Straight answers

Do I need a specific auditing software license?

No. Labs run in our training environment. Concepts transfer to most financial auditing apps used for treasury activity reviews.

Is there a real limitation I should know?

Yes. This course does not teach forensic investigation techniques or anti-fraud litigation strategy. If you suspect intentional misstatement, escalate—do not treat our sampling labs as a substitute for specialized inquiry.

How long does completion take?

Most learners finish in five to seven weeks at four hours per week, plus one mentor critique appointment.

Can my whole team join?

Yes. Assurance Circle packages seats; otherwise enroll individually via Control Studio. Contact us for purchase orders.
